GRE Pipes | Epoxy Composite Piping Systems (DN80–1600) – CNPS

GRE pipes are filament-wound epoxy composite piping that cut weight up to 60–75% versus steel and resist corrosion, scaling, CO₂ and H₂S. DN80–DN1600, 6–32 bar standard classes, ISO 14692-aligned systems.

Epoxy Composite Piping That Eliminates Corrosion — and Most of the Weight

GRE pipe delivers 60–75% lower weight than carbon steel with continuous service from −40 °C to 93.3 °C — supplied as complete ISO 14692-aligned systems.

    Product Overview

GRE pipe is filament-wound composite piping — glass fibers in an epoxy matrix — engineered specifically to defeat the three cost drivers of steel piping: corrosion, scaling and weight. With no rust, no under-insulation corrosion and no need for coatings or cathodic protection, GRE removes whole categories of inspection and maintenance work.

The operating envelope covers −40 °C to 93.3 °C continuous service (project-specific derating applies), standard pressure classes from 6 to 32 bar, and diameters from DN80 to DN1600. At 60–75% lighter than carbon steel, GRE cuts structural loads by up to 75% and lets light crews move long spools without heavy cranes.

CNPS supplies GRE as a complete system — pipe, adhesive-bonded sockets, threaded small-bore lines and flanged tie-in spools — with ISO 14692 Parts 1–4 documentation packages including hydrotest records, CoC/CoA and full traceability for straightforward QA closeout.

    Key Features & Benefits

    • Steel corrodes in chlorides, CO₂ and H₂S service, requiring coatings, cathodic protection and frequent inspection

    • Heavy steel pipe drives up crane time, structural loads and hot-work risk on site

    • Scaling and rough bores degrade flow and raise pumping energy over time

    • QA closeout on composite projects can stall without proper documentation and traceability

CNPS Solution: Filament-wound GRE pipe with adhesive-bonded, threaded or flanged joints, supplied as an ISO 14692-aligned system with hydrotest records, CoC/CoA and traceability — engineered so corrosion, scaling and weight stop being your problem.

    • Up to 75% lower structural loads versus steel

    • No coatings, no cathodic protection, no under-insulation corrosion

    • Smooth bore (C ≈ 150) stabilizes pumping energy and flow

    • Light spools plus bonded/threaded joints cut crane time and hot work

    • Pressure classes to 32 bar standard, with high-pressure series to ~50 bar in select ranges

    • Documentation packages that simplify QA closeout

    • Diameters: DN80 – DN1600

    • Standard pressure classes: 6, 10, 16, 20, 25, 32 bar (≈ 87 – 464 psi)

    • High-pressure series: up to ~50 bar / 363 psi in select ranges

    • Standard lengths: 6 – 12 m

    • Jointing: taper-to-taper epoxy-bonded sockets (cure 8–24 h); threaded for small bore; flanged spools for equipment tie-ins

    • Design basis: ISO 14692-compliant GRE systems

    • Corrosion control — Handles chlorides, CO₂, H₂S, brackish and produced water without coatings — ideal for marine, terminals and chemical duty.

    • Real weight savings — 60–75% lighter than carbon steel; structural loads cut by up to 75%.

    • Pressure options — Standard classes to 32 bar; high-pressure series available in select ranges up to ~50 bar / 363 psi.

    • Rapid install — Light spools plus adhesive-bonded or threaded joints cut crane time and hot work.

    • Compliance ready — ISO 14692 Parts 1–4 packages with hydrotest, CoC/CoA and traceability to simplify QA closeout.

    • Smooth bore — Hazen-Williams C ≈ 150 stabilizes pumping energy and flow performance.

    • Production discipline — ISO-aligned production with in-process OD/ID gauging and statistical process control; standard lengths 6–12 m.
